Visit the directory02 / Our standard
A considered blend. Thoughtful placement. Hair that feels like you. We look for specialists who care as much about the person in their chair as the finished result.
Meet the artistsWe look beyond a single transformation to understand an artist’s skill, consistency and point of view.
A thoughtful artist considers your hair, your routine and what will work for you over time.
Hand-tied, beaded rows, tape-ins, K-tips. The conversation starts with you, then the method.
We go looking city by city for the artists we would happily send a friend to.
03 / Technique notes
A natural result, shaped around you. Your artist will guide the choice; here is where the conversation begins.

Fine wefts sewn onto a beaded foundation. Talk to your artist about placement, weight and maintenance.

Small, pre-taped sections placed around your own hair. Ask about blending, reapplication and at-home care.

Wefts secured along a row of beads. Discuss the right amount of hair and a maintenance plan for you.

Individual strands placed throughout the hair. Your artist can explain the installation, upkeep and removal.

05 / The consultation
Bring photos of the result you want, and talk through what is possible with your own hair.
How you sleep, train, wash and style your hair should be part of the conversation.
Ask about maintenance appointments and the total cost over time.
Look for examples with a similar texture, density and starting length.
Leave with clear advice on brushing, washing, products and when to book your next visit.
A few useful answers
Pricing depends on the artist, method, amount of hair and desired length. Ask for a quote that includes hair, installation and ongoing maintenance, and confirm any consultation fee before booking.
An artist should assess your hair and scalp, discuss your goals, and explain the suitability, risks and upkeep of their recommended approach.
Installation and maintenance schedules vary by method and by your hair. Your artist can explain when you will need a move-up or removal, and when the extension hair will need replacing.
Talk to an extension specialist about your density and the result you want. Ask to see their work on similar hair and how they would choose the weight and placement.
We look for extension specialists, a strong body of work, and the kind of thoughtful consultation we would want for a friend. Each selected artist has a feature exploring their work and approach.
